Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Event Description
Four Points Chamber of Commerce hosts Bill Marquardt, owner of Freedom Boat Club and Steiner Ranch SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boards) to share with us his networking gems in his presentation, “All the stuff they forgot to teach you about Networking.”
Mr. Marquardt started learning his management and speaking skills at an early age when he obtained the rank of Sergeant and earned the title of United States Army JumpMaster at the age of 20. From managing an Olive Garden to outside media sales Bill has almost 20 years in Sales and Management experience. Bill is currently the owner of Freedom Boat Club and Steiner Ranch SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boards) as well as Overseeing the Central Texas and Austin BNI Chapters.
He first started “networking” with BNI, the worlds largest networking organization in 2001 as an outside sales rep for a Telecommunication company. Quickly advancing up the corporate ladder he held the titles of Senior Account Executive, Sales Manger and Director of Sales. He was recognized by the company with the Yearly Top Sales Achievement Award in both 2003 and 2005 and networking played a large part.
Bill holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Montana, Missoula and is using his powers of positive thinking to envision his football team beating Sam Houston in the Semi Finals in December to earn their spot in the National Championship Game.
